On Christmas Eve, the election of the Archbishop will take place, according to today's decision of the Holy Synod.
After its completion, the archbishop of Pafos, in his statements said that the Holy Synod ratified the three-person and decided that the election of the Archbishop will take place this Saturday, December 24 after the divine liturgy. At the same time, he noted that two objections submitted for the Archdiocesan Elections were examined, which were rejected by the Synod.
As the Metropolitan of Pafos explained, the divine liturgy will be followed by the message of election in the Old Cathedral of John the Theologian.
Asked about the enthronement of the new Archbishop, the Metropolitan said it depends on who gets elected.
