The Deputy Ministry of Tourism announced the resumption of the Christmas Villages initiative, with seven Christmas Villages throughout Cyprus.
Specifically, the communities of Deryneia, Polis Chrysochous, Fikardos, Agros, Kyperounta, Kalopanayiotis and Kalavasos will soon be ready to welcome local and foreign visitors in a unique, romantic and festive atmosphere.
The Christmas Villages will have a local character with traditions, flavours and creations of each region. They will include festive food and drink, artistic events, local products and handicrafts for sale, free experiential oenogastronomy and handicraft workshops, various activities for young and old, guided tours of the villages and other surprises.
The Christmas Villages will be open from November 26,2022 until January 15, 2023 (11:00 – 16:00 on weekdays and 11:00 – 18:00 on weekends).
The whole initiative is part of the implementation of the National Tourism Strategy 2030 and in particular the objectives for the further development of winter tourism and the promotion of the countryside, mountainous as well as remote / remote areas.
