In anticipation of the cosmogonic changes that will occur in the coming years in the Akamas peninsula, with the implementation of the provisions of the Management Plan, lovers of the unique ecosystem already have the opportunity to enjoy more and more parts of the vast space, thanks to the enrichment actions of state, community and social bodies in the area.
The new projects that have already gone from paper design to... ground, are two new thematic routes. One in Ineia, focusing on the goddess of beauty and one in Arodes focusing on one of the most characteristic plants of the Cypriot flora: the Matsikorido.
Aphrodite is at the heart of the new project in Inia, which concerns a thematic route. The route connects environmental, religious and historical points of interest of the area and it is expected that in combination with other projects completed or promoted in the community by the Pafos District Administration to become a pole of attraction for visitors and create conditions for new jobs.
As it is known, the renovation of the core has been completed in the Community, while the equipment of the Turtle Museum in the square, which has also been embellished in recent years, is being promoted.
The thematic route "Aphrodite", based on the contract, will cost almost two million euros plus VAT and the duration of execution will be 24 months. The project is included in the State Budget through the Pafos District Administration, while there is in principle approval for funding from the EU Recovery and Resilience Plan.
