Fifty-three vehicles, at opening prices starting from €300 and reaching up to €15,000, were put up for public auction by the Bank of Cyprus, for next Tuesday, November 1st, at 3 pm. The award to the last bidder will be made if the price of the advantageous is judged, the bidder is suitable and if he presents his political identity. It is noted that each buyer is charged with the delayed registration certificates and the costs of re-registration of the vehicle.
Deposit
According to a relevant announcement, with the award will have to be paid 30% of the amount as an advance payment, with a minimum amount of €1,000 in cash, while the remaining amount will have to be paid the next day to any Bank of Cyprus branch. The cars are delivered once the amount has been paid and if a valid insurance certificate (cover note) is presented, while in case of cancellation of the transaction by the buyer, the deposit is not refundable.
The auction will be held at the Auction Yard in Mosfiloti (12 Limassol Ave., 7647 Mosfiloti Larnaca). As mentioned in the announcement, the dates and times of the inspection are on Monday 31/10/2022 from 10.00 - 13.00 and 14.00 - 17.00 and on Tuesday 01/11/2022 from 10.00 - 14.30.
New registrations
It is recalled that in the first nine months of this year, the total registrations of motor vehicles decreased. According to the latest data of the Statistical Service, the total number of registered vehicles decreased by 4% in the period January-September 2022 and reached 26,581, compared to 27,699 in the same period of 2021.
Saloon passenger car registrations decreased in the first nine months of 2022 by 0,7% and reached 21,183, compared to 21,336 in the corresponding period of 2021. Of the total saloon passenger cars, 9,071 or 42.8% were new and 12,112 or 57.2% were used cars. Rental cars, in particular, showed an increase of 74.6% to 3,479.
What's on the list
The list of vehicles for the public auction of the Bank of Cyprus includes several Ford (7), Mercedes (6) and Volkswagen (6) cars. Also, the public can find BMW (4), Toyota (4), Kia (3), Nissan (2), Audi (2), Suzuki (2), Honda (2) and Renault (2). In addition, interested buyers can find a Mini, Mazda, Volvo, Porsche, Citroen, Chevrolet, Fiat, Jaguar, Peugeot, Caterpillar and Saab car. It should be noted that the most expensive cars to be auctioned are a BMW X5 D and a Mercedes E-Class, with an opening price of €15,000.
