Three deaths due to coronavirus were announced by the Ministry of Health, while in the week of October 21-27, a total of 2,821 new cases of the virus were detected.
In detail, the announcement of the Ministry of Health:
3 deaths announced
- They concern:
- Woman, aged 82, who passed away on 20/10/2022
- Woman, aged 87, who passed away on 23/10/2022
- Man, aged 90, who passed away on 26/10/2022
- Total number of deaths with COVID-19 as the ultimate cause: 1,194.
- 59 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized in shsypy hospitals
- 8 in serious condition (ICU: 1 off ventilator/3 intubated, MAF: 4)
- 4 patients who ceased to be infectious continue to be hospitalized by intubation due to COVID in an Intensive Care Unit.
Diagnostic tests:
- A total of 64,528 diagnostic tests were performed
- 2,821 new cases were detected (total cases 599,118).
- Positivity rate in all tests 4.37%
Total number of molecular tests (PCR):
- 2,136 molecular tests were performed
- There were 169 positive cases
- Positivity rate 7.91%
Total number of rapid antigen tests:
- 62,392 rapid antigen tests were performed
- 2,652 positive cases occurred
- Positivity rate 4.25%
Private initiative:
- 1,767 molecular tests were performed, 100 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 5.66%)
- 41,956 rapid antigen tests were performed, 2,469 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 5.88%)
Through the programs of the Ministry of Health, 20,436 rapid antigen tests were performed. 183 positive cases were identified.
- Sampling points: 10,576 rapid tests identified 105 positive cases (positivity rate 0.99%)
Education
- Primary Education: 425 rapid antigen tests, no positive cases detected (positivity rate 0%)
- Secondary Education: 578 rapid tests, no positive cases detected (positivity rate 0%)
- Special Schools: 328 rapid antigen tests were performed and 2 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 0.61%)
Other
- National Guard: 229 rapid antigen tests performed, no positive cases detected (positivity rate 0%)
- Nursing homes: 4,913 rapid antigen tests performed, 44 positive cases identified (positivity rate 0.9%)
- Closed facilities: 3,387 rapid antigen tests were performed, 32 new cases were identified (positivity rate 0.94%).
