Griva Digeni Avenue in Paphos was opened to traffic on Tuesday afternoon. According to Paphos Mayor Phaedon Phaedon, the road acquires greenery, comfort and safety for vehicle drivers and especially for pedestrians.
In addition, he referred to the importance of the project, emphasizing that its implementation contributes substantially to the strengthening of commerciality in the area, as well as to the aesthetic and functional upgrade of the city.
In the meantime, work is underway on Ellados and Evagoras Pallikaridis Avenues and is expected to be completed before the end of the year.
It is noted that the major project for the improvement of Ellados Avenue and parts of Evagoras Pallikaridis, Neophytos Nikolaidis and Grivas Digenis Avenues, has a total cost of €9 million, plus VAT.
