The Traffic Department of the Paphos Police Department refused to give its consent to the closure of Griva Digeni Avenue as of today, Thursday, as initially announced by the contractor.
In a new announcement of the contractor, it is stated that after the latest developments and in consultation with the Paphos Traffic Police, a change will be made to the date of closure of Griva Digeni Avenue in the place where the works are being carried out.
Therefore, the avenue will be closed from next Monday, October 10 until the completion of the works estimated at about 15 days. It is noted that in the coming days, asphalt paving is planned in part of the parallel Avenue Neophytou Nikolaidis, in front of the Paphos courthouse.
This was the main reason why the Paphos traffic police refused to consent to the closure of Griva Digeni before the asphalt paving of Nikolaidi.
