A letter to the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Savvas Perdios, regarding the creation of a marina in the Potima area of the Pafos district, which is one of the most important development projects, since it is expected to boost the economic, commercial and tourist development of the area and, at the same time, to contribute positively to the employment sector, was sent today by the Member of Parliament for Paphos of DIKO, Chrysanthos Savvides.
Last May, he points out, the Deputy Minister of Tourism presented the techno-economic study for the combined project of the Marina and the cruise ships in Potima, so in the letter he asks to be informed at what stage this project is and when the process for the announcement of international tenders for the construction of the Marina and the combined development will begin.
"Aware of the interest and the action taken so far by the Deputy Minister of Tourism, on issues related to the tourism and wider development of the place", Mr. Savvidis concludes in the letter, "I hope that he will investigate the issue with due responsibility and seriousness, responding as soon as possible".
