A man still unidentified was found dead earlier in the morning on the beach near a hotel in the tombs of the Kings area. The man, who looks middle-aged, was naked and on his face bears some marks estimated to be injuries from an attack he received.
The man was spotted by a citizen passing by the spot who immediately informed the Police. Members of the Paphos ICF went to the scene which they ruled out and began investigations into the incident. The unlucky man did not carry clothing or evidence to show his identity, but it seems that he was around the age of 60.
The marks he bore on his face may indicate a criminal act, which is why a coroner was called to the scene to carry out an autopsy before the body was transported to Paphos Hospital.
UPDATE - the man has been identified as a 57 year old Cypriot who lived alone.
