The Health Insurance Organization informs the public about the contact details of the personal doctor's on-call services (PD) for Saturday 13, Sunday 14 and Monday 15 August 2022 per district.
It is noted that the contact details of the on-call services WILL BE adjusted on a weekly basis and will be posted on the GHS website www. gesy. org. cy, as well as on the official social media accounts of the Agency.
It is reminded that the on-call services of a personal doctor are provided to adults and children, who are beneficiaries of the GHS on weekends and holidays and include the provision of health care for emergency problems, such as the acute onset of alarming symptoms, abrupt and severe pain, worsening of symptoms of severe chronic illness, high fever accompanied by other symptoms. Beneficiaries should not contact the on-call services of the PD for pre-existing medical conditions, the issuance of repeated prescriptions, the issuance of referrals to other services of the GHS or in cases where they do not have the time to visit their Personal Doctor.
The opening hours of the services are on weekends and public holidays at the following hours:
- Saturday: 9.00 – 17.00
- Sunday and Public Holiday: 15.00 – 19.00
For their service, the beneficiaries contact by telephone the on-call services of the PD of their province, during the opening hours of the on-call services. After assessing the health problem, an appointment is arranged within the day and hours of operation of the on-call services. It is emphasized that, for the proper service of the beneficiaries, the services operate only with scheduled appointments.
