WHOLE SALE PRICE OF ELECTRICITY

A significant increase is recorded for today in the wholesale price of electricity, which reaches an all-time high of €466,03 / MWh, compared to €426 / MWh last Friday.

The maximum price is at an unimaginable height of €686 /MWh and the minimum at €261 /MWh, with demand close to 202 gigawatt hours.

In the electricity mix, gas has 43.1%, RES 23%, lignite 13%, hydroelectric and 8% imports.

It is worth noting that electricity prices are at high levels throughout Europe, with the maximum price recorded in Romania at €528 / MWh.

Above €500/MWh at €519.74/MWh will be the price in Slovakia while in Hungary it will reach €510.22/MWh.

High prices are recorded in all Balkan countries (Bulgaria €460,54 / MWh, Serbia €460,3 / MWh, Croatia €482,95/ MWh. In neighbouring Italy also the price exceeds €500  and stands at €527 / MWh.

In central European countries, prices are as follows: Switzerland €396,49/MWh, Austria €385,55 /MWh, France €373,05 /MWh, Czech Republic €361,62/MWh, Germany €309,81/MWh, Belgium €294,86/MWh, Netherlands €289,61/MWh and Poland €189,84/MWh. Finally in Spain and Portugal the price is €158,02/MWh.
