UNDERWATER CAMERA EXTENDS POLICE CAPABILITIES

An official ceremony for the delivery of an underwater camera, from the United States of America to the Cyprus Police, took place today, at the premises of the Port and Maritime Police in Limassol.

The underwater camera, modelled on Videoray Pro4, is of advanced technology and its use is expected to upgrade the operational capabilities of the Port and Maritime Police, but also of the Police in general.

Its contribution to the searches at the bottom of the sea, in fences and lakes to find objects / persons, but also in matters of security of the seas, ports and borders of Cyprus will be particularly important.

In addition, this camera has research capabilities of a maximum depth of 300 meters, a caliper for lifting objects and a front and rear camera for data recording and taking photos, while it has two projectors for handling and use during the night.


At the same time, the camera will be operated wired from land by the members of the Port and Maritime Police.
