THE REGISTRY OF NEUROLOGICAL PATIENTS IN NEED OF PHYSIOTHERAPY IS READY

 Filenews 21 July 2022

With the aim of continuously improving the services provided and better serving the beneficiaries of the GHS, the Health Insurance Organization wishes to inform the public about the completion of the creation of the registry of neurological patients in need of physiotherapy.

The creation of this registry aims at the individualized performance of physiotherapy, according to the needs of each patient.

The registry has included all patients registered in the System, adults and children, with neurological diseases who need physiotherapy and for whom their attending physician has submitted the necessary information to the Organization. New patients have the opportunity to join the registry at any time through the same procedure.

Upon completion of the registry, the Organization has taken the following actions to inform all interested parties:

  1. Information of the Attending Physicians: the attending physicians received information about all the patients whose data they sent to the Organization for inclusion in the registry. The briefing included the number of physiotherapies that each patient can receive according to the registry.
  2. Information for Physiotherapists: physiotherapists have received information on how to communicate with the Agency for the patients they manage and who have been included in the registry.
  3. Beneficiary Information: patients who registered their e-mail address with the GHS, have already been informed about the number of physiotherapies they can receive based on the registry for the current year, as well as about the number of physiotherapies they had received by the end of June.

In addition to the above, patients, doctors and physiotherapists can be informed about the registry of neurological patients through the GHS Service Center, with a free call to 17000. The information through the Center will be given exclusively to patients who have joined the registry but also to the attending physicians and physiotherapists who provide them with relevant services through the GHS, after the necessary identification that will be made by the Service Center.

Finally, the Organization informs patients that the evaluation of new requests for additional physiotherapy has resumed, which was suspended until the completion of the registry. At the same time, the Organization, in a short time, will inform the doctors and physiotherapists about the outcome of their relevant requests.
