The Police have recently received several complaints about suspicious misleading e-mails sent en masse to the public and falsely pretending to come from the Cyprus Police, telling unsuspecting citizens that they are involved with and are to be charged with various criminal offenses.
The misleading messages, which also bear the logos of the Cyprus Police, are sent from fake e-mail addresses As the Police states in a statement, these messages are fake and have nothing to do with the Cyprus Police.
The public is called as is particularly careful and not to respond in case of receiving such a message.
For the purpose of confirming any pending issues with the Police, the public is encouraged to contact the well-known communication channels available to the Cyprus Police.
