PAPHOS - ARREST OF 18 YEAR OLD FOR BURGLARIES AND THEFTS

The Police arrested a person, aged 18, in Paphos, as testimonies about his involvement in five cases of burglaries and thefts emerged.

According to a police statement, the 18-year-old was arrested on the basis of court warrants issued after evidence emerged of the commission of the five burglaries and vehicle theft.

These are five burglaries committed in two offices, in two shops and in a barber shop in Paphos. The first office burglary was committed on July 1, while the second, as well as the burglaries of the two shops and the barbershop, were committed on July 14 and 15. Small sums of money were stolen from the first office and the two shops, while from the second office and from the barbershop, no property was stolen.

The theft of a vehicle, specifically a moped worth €500, was committed on June 25, while the vehicle was parked outside the residence of its owner. The moped has been located and returned to its owner.

The cases are being investigated by the ICF and the Paphos Minor Offences Department.
