Members of the Limassol Z team, conducted yesterday, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m, traffic checks in the city and district of Limassol.
During the checks, which are part of the efforts made by the Police to reduce fatal and serious road collisions, as well as to consolidate road consciousness and increase the sense of safety of citizens, a total of 46 complaints were made, of which 12 concerned exceeding the speed limit, while the remaining 34 complaints concerned various traffic violations.
As part of the checks, 15 motorcycles and 2 cars were also retained. It should be noted that 9 of the confiscated motorcycles were found in the Troodos area being driven by their owners without a driver's license and a safety certificate, while five of them had irregular registration plates and four did not have registration plates.
