A new regulation for the employment of third-country nationals from August 1st was announced by the Department of Labour of the Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance.
Specifically and for the purposes of faster and more effective service to employers who submit requests for a permit for the employment of Third-Country Nationals, the following new regulation enters into force as of August 1, 2022:
Applications received for the purpose of employing third-country nationals, which at the stage of checking the conditions and their completeness are found not to meet the requirements provided by the existing Strategy for the Employment of Foreign Workers in Cyprus, i.e. they are not properly completed and / or are not accompanied by all the required documents / certificates, which are listed on the Application form for the Employment of Foreigners and / or are posted on the website of the Department of Labor, will be classified as rejected and will not be accepted.
In any case of an unacceptable application, the employer will be informed immediately, by email or, where it is not possible, by regular mail, by which he will be informed of the exact reasons for the rejection.
