The Police are sounding the alarm to the public, after the detection of counterfeit €500 notes.
In its announcement, it states that the National Centre for Banknote Analysis of the Police Criminal Investigation Service informs the public that very good quality counterfeit notes of €500 have been found.
The Police call on the public to be especially careful in their dealings.
