10,879 NEW CASES, THREE DEATHS - Week 24-30 June

The Ministry of Health announces that for the week of June 24 – 30, 2022, three people died from coronavirus, while 10.879 new cases were detected (7.263 in the week before).

Specifically:

  • 3 deaths reported
They concern:
  • Man, aged 75, who passed away on June 24
  • Man, aged 87, who passed away on June 24
  • Woman, aged 84, who passed away on June 28
  • Total number of deaths with COVID-19 as the ultimate cause: 1,075.
  • 75 COVID-19 patients are being treated in SHSO hospitals
  • in serious condition (ICU: 0 off ventilator/1 intubated, MAF: 3)
  • patients who ceased to be infectious continue to be hospitalized by intubation due to COVID in an Intensive Care Unit.

Diagnostic tests:

  • A total of 93,607 diagnostic tests were performed
  • 10,879 new cases were detected (total cases 515,596).
  • Positivity rate in all tests 11,62%

Total number of molecular tests (PCR):

  • 4,309 molecular tests were performed
  • There were 740 positive cases
  • Positivity rate 17.17%

Total number of Rapid Antigen Tests:

  • 89,298 rapid antigen tests were performed
  • There were 10,139 positive cases
  • Positivity rate 11.35%

 Tracking:

  • 35 molecular tests were performed and 9 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 25.71%)

Private initiative:

  • 3,628 molecular tests were performed, 607 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 16.73%)
  • 76,761 rapid antigen tests were performed, 9,703 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 12.64%)

Through the programs of the Ministry of Health, 12,537 rapid antigen tests were carried out. 436 positive cases were identified.

  • Sampling points: 5,012 rapid detection tests identified 384 positive cases (positivity rate 7.66%)

Other

  • National Guard: 181 rapid antigen tests were performed and 10 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 5.52%)
  • Nursing homes: 4,218 rapid antigen tests were performed, 29 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 0.69%)
  • Closed facilities: 3,126 rapid antigen tests were performed, 13 new cases were identified (positivity rate of 0.42%).
