Weakened will reach Cyprus the bad weather "Genesis", which will affect Greece from this afternoon.
Speaking to philenews, the Director of the Meteorological Service, Kleanthis Nikolaidis, said that the Meteorological Services of Cyprus, Greece and Israel, decided to give the name "Genesis" to this barometric low phenomenon, which will affect the region of Greece.
As far as Cyprus is concerned, Mr. Nikolaidis stressed that there will be temporarily local rains on Sunday and Monday of the holiday weekend with the possibility of a storm, while there is expected to be a gradual drop in temperature. At the same time, he clarified that severe weather phenomena are not expected, as in Greece.
It should be noted that the National Meteorological Service of Greece issued an emergency weather report, as the barometric low in the upper atmosphere located in Italy, moves southeast and will affect western, central and northern Greece from today until Saturday. Heavy rains and thunderstorms are expected accompanied by hailstorms, high-frequency lightning and strong winds.
