TURKAEGEAN - FINANCIAL TIMES PROJECT 'TURKISH AEGEAN'

 Filenews 30 June 2022

Undisturbed, the Turks continue their communication campaign, advertising the "Turkish Aegean", even in major British media.

After Greece's reaction and more specifically the order of SAD to competent officials for possible misconduct, as well as the Schinas letter to the Commissioner for the Internal Market, the Turks continue unabated to advertise the term, saying that it has now been registered today.

This is also evidenced by the advertorial, i.e. advertising in the form of an article, in the Financial Times.

The advertorial is titled Coasting along in style: the lure of the TurkAegean, i.e. "Coast in style: the lure of the Turkish Aegean".

As stated in the paid entry in the Financial Times, "the Turkish Aegean promises exceptional experiences for adventurous travellers, stretching to the southwestern part of Turkey and filled with incredible cities such as Izmir, Bodrum and Dacca."

In the entry there is also a reference by the Turkish Minister of Culture where he notes that "the Turkish Aegean is one of the most elite areas that the Turkish Republic has to offer. It has coastlines wrapped in clear blue waters, numerous historical monuments dating back to the second century BC and idyllic beaches to enjoy the bright sun. Many popular holiday villages and fishing ports are located above and below the coast – ideal for nature lovers and adventure lovers.
