ROAD RECONSTRUCTION AT AGIA VARVARA NEAR NATA - WORK STARTS JULY

The signatures fell on the contract and work begins on the stabilization of a landslide and the reconstruction of part of the Agia Varvara road near Nata.

Specifically, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announced the signing of the contract for the execution of the project "Stabilization of landslide and reconstruction of part of the Ayia Varvara road (E606) by Nata (k.p. 7+700)", with No. Contract CSF/7/2022/E(A). The Contract was signed, on behalf of the Government, by the Deputy Director of the Department of Public Works, Mrs. Eleni Kaskiri, and, on behalf of the Contractor "Abraham and Yiangos Abraham Limited", the representative Mr. Yiangos Avraam.

The project concerns the stabilization of the occurrence of the landslide through the construction of a embankment and the restoration of the Agia Varvara (E606) road near Nata .

The works of the Project include, among others, earthworks, the construction of a surface rainwater drainage system, the construction of a drainage system of the underground aquifer, the reconstruction of the road surface, including asphalt pavements, signage and repositioning of road equipment, as well as the configuration of the existing bypass which is maintained.

The implementation of the Project is scheduled to start in July 2022, with an execution duration of 6 months and a cost of €290,055.00, including VAT.
