A coordinated operation was carried out in the last three days by members of the Paphos Police Department to combat traffic violations, in the context of which 227 traffic complaints emerged.
According to Kyriakos Charalambous, Assistant Head of the Paphos ICF, in the context of the prevention of road traffic collisions and property offenses such as burglaries and thefts, checks were carried out in various parts of the city and district of Paphos, either with motorized patrols or with static checks.
Of the 227 traffic complaints, he continued, 21 concern drivers who were spotted driving under the influence of alcohol and 2 drivers tested positive for the drug test.
Mr. Charalambous also said, out of the 227 complaints, 75 concerned speeding and the rest other traffic offenses of a smaller nature.
Coordinated operations will continue at a later stage, he concluded.
