''Let us do our job'', the message of the President of the Police Force Of Equality Nikos Loizides, to address, as he said, hooliganism.
"Human lives are at risk from drug addicts, alcoholics, masked men, who appear in front of the security forces with knives, pistols and stones to attack, and we are facing a large gap that we police officers have to fill."
''We need support'', said Mr Loizides, "to suppress these phenomena of violence, without fear of being confronted with accusations that we have used violence against Molotov cocktails, bombs and pistols". How are they suppressed otherwise he wondered, these phenomena?
In response to the fact that the high-risk match was evaluated and they were sent untrained to protect the fans or the properties, Mr. Loizidis replied that, due to lack of staff, we are completing the staffing from various departments.
