KOILI - SAFE STOLEN FROM COUNCIL OFFICE AND DRIVEN AWAY IN COUNCIL VEHICLE [Updated]

The safe of the Community Council of Koili, in the district of Paphos, has been stolen.  This contained an amount of about €3,000. Not only that, but the perpetrators also stole the Council's car, in which they loaded the heavy safe and disappeared.

The burglary and theft from the building of K.S. Koilis was noticed this morning, with its reopening after the two-day holiday. As reported by the commune Michalis Efthymiou to the Police, the perpetrators broke into the offices and managed to lift the large and heavy safe, which they loaded into the double-cab vehicle of K.S. Koilis, which was parked outside the office and then disappeared from the scene before being noticed.

The commune mentioned that there was about €3,000 in the safe, while he estimated that the perpetrators  clearly numbered more than two or three, given the weight of the safe.

The Police went to the scene and performed various tests, while they received evidence for laboratory analyses.

The examinations continue.

Update:

From Koili, to Mesogi, the double-cab car of the Community Council of Koili was located.  The vehicle  was stolen by as yet unknown assailants and in which the burglars loaded the safe of the Community Council of Koili, in the district of Pafos, which contained an amount of about €550.

The car was located in an area of Mesogi and the Police have already transferred it to the Pafos Directorate, starting the tests to identify the perpetrators. At the same time, the examinations for the location of the safe continue.
