An emergency travel directive and a recommendation to Israeli citizens not to visit Turkey in the near future was issued this morning by the Israeli National Security Staff.
As stated in the relevant communication, there is a real risk that Israeli citizens who are in Turkey will be targeted by Iran.
Iran accuses Israel of being behind the recent assassination of a senior military official of the Revolutionary Guards. The anti-terrorist service of the Israeli National Security Staff estimates that Iran will retaliate and that in Turkey, agents acting in support of Iranian interests are acting with relative ease.
Today's extraordinary Israeli travel directive also applies to countries bordering Iran.
