Green Centre – map above. They take virtually anything – free of charge. Open Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, and Saturday 8am to 1pm. Closed Sunday.
To get there – proceed down the main road from Tala towards
Emba, keep on the main road going past the school on the left and continue on until
you reach the T junction at the bottom – turn left [heading towards the market area of Paphos] and then take the first
right virtually opposite the 2017 Capital of Culture monument. If you
miss the turn, there are a couple of right turns after this you can
take. After you have turned, after around 400m you will see the
centre on the right hand side. They take garden waste, old furniture,
paint cans, all your recycling, old medication, etc. They have a container
in the middle of the site for old electrical appliances.
