Five awards, including gold for the best red wine internationally, were secured by the Kolios Winery of Statos Agios Fotios of the Pafos district, in the recent 22nd International Wine and Spirits Competition of Thessaloniki.
The Shiraz vintage 2015 of the Pafian winery won the Gold Medal for the best red wine internationally, a distinction for the first time by a Cypriot wine in this international competition.
Kolios Winery also won four more distinctions in this year's competition: Silver medals for the 2016 Harvest Cabernet Sauvignon for red wines and Persefoni vintage 2021 for white wines and bronze medals for the 2017 Maratheftiko red and Agios Fotios 2018.
