The Ministry of Health informs consumers that the Health Services of the Ministry have received information both through the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF) and through the European Food Safety Authority for the preventive recall of the above mentioned product by competent authorities of other Member States which may be contaminated with the Salmonella microbe:
Brand name: Kinder Surprise
Weight: 20g
Packaging: (a) individual packaging 20g, (b) packaging of 3 pieces X 20g
No. Lot: all products with a date of minimum durability between 11 July 2022 and 7 October 2022
Based on the information so far, the affected product has not been shipped and circulated in Cyprus, however, for precautionary reasons, consumers are kindly requested to check the products they may have in their possession in order to determine whether it falls under the aforementioned dates of minimum durability. In case it detects such products, the consumer public is asked to avoid their consumption.
It is emphasized that products that on their label bear a barcode starting with the digits "800" and bearing the information "DISTRIBUTORS FOR CYPRUS: CYPRUS LTD".
It is understood that this case is being monitored by the Competent Services and if new information regarding the involvement of Cyprus emerges, the consumer public will be informed about a new announcement.
