The Ministry of Health announces that today, April 4, 2022:
- 4 deaths reported
- They concern:
- Man, aged 68, who died on April 3
- Man, aged 77, who died on April 3
- Man, aged 89, who died on April 3
- Woman, aged 88, who died on April 4
- Total number of deaths with a final cause of COVID-19: 946.
- 199 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized in the hospitals of the CySEC
- 28 in serious condition (ICU: 2 out of the ventilator/7 intubated, PPE: 19)
- Percentage of hospitalized patients without a history of vaccination: 52.77%
- 13 patients who have ceased to be infectious continue to be hospitalized intubated due to COVID in an Intensive Care Unit.
Diagnostic tests:
- A total of 105,150 diagnostic tests were performed
- 4,210 new cases were identified (total cases 444,012).
- Positivity rate in total exams 4%
Total number of molecular tests (PCR):
- 4,197 molecular tests were performed
- There were 332 positive cases
- Positivity rate 7.91%
Total number of rapid antigen tests (Rapid Test):
- 100,953 rapid antigen tests were performed
- There were 3,878 positive cases
- Positivity rate 3.84%
Tracking:
- 1,033 molecular tests were performed and 41 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 3.97%)
- 569 rapid antigen tests were performed and 73 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 12.83%)
Private initiative:
- 1,323 molecular tests were performed, 211 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 15.95%)
- 49,629 rapid antigen tests were performed, 2,692 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 5.42%)
Through the programmes of the Ministry of Health, 51,324 rapid antigen tests were carried out. 1,186 positive cases were identified.
- Sampling points: 16,012 rapid detection tests identified 832 positive cases (positivity rate 5.2%)
Education
- Primary Education: 17,226 rapid antigen tests, 114 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 0.66%)
- Secondary Education: 9,675 rapid screening tests identified 68 positive cases (positivity rate 0.7%)
- Test-to-Stay: 4,786 rapid antigen tests were performed and 60 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 1.25%)
- Special Schools: 830 rapid antigen tests were performed and 5 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 0.6%)
Other
- Nursing homes: 1,358 rapid antigen tests were performed, 17 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 1.25%)
- Closed structures: 460 rapid antigen tests were performed , 9 new cases were identified (positivity rate 1.96%).
- Government Agencies: 284 rapid antigen tests were performed and no positive cases were detected (positivity rate 0%)
