PARTY FOR ANIMALS - WE DON'T BUY ANIMALS UNTIL THE SHELTERS ARE EMPTY

 Filenews 4 April 2022

We do not buy animals until the shelters are empty - this is the basic message of the Party for the Animals of Cyprus, on the occasion of the International Day concerning abandoned and stray animals, a day that as the party points out is not to celebrate but to give strong and targeted messages to society and citizens "the Party for the Animals of Cyprus wants to send a strong message".

Through its announcement, the party asks once again the citizens NOT TO BUY ANIMALS, because for every non-purchase of an animal they save a life, an abandoned dog or cat in a shelter. They save an animal that can wait five or even ten years to find a hand, a hug to adopt it.

If we do not understand the other species, as the Party for Animals points out, if we do not understand that as a species with knowledge and reason we must respect nature and all other species that live among us, then as a species we have no salvation.

"We see every day that our species, rapes nature destroys and strains it, we see the war in Ukraine where thousands of people and animals (domestic and productive) find tragic death, but also at the same time when these wretched citizens find the courage, patience and perseverance to save and take with them their pets and family members."

At the same time, the Party for Animals expresses its indignation and bitterness that for yet another year touches on the big and serious issue of abandoned (and not stray animals) and without seeing, as it points out, changes and plans that reduce the problem.

Posing the following questions:

Why don't some people listen? They don't listen; Or just whistling light-heartedly; Or do some people there in the state and high rooftops have the impression that the creation of new shelters or temporary places of detention of animals will automatically solve the problem?

The Party for Animals, wanting to give, as it says, yet another boost and putting pressure on the state, the parliament and all those involved in animal welfare and protection issues, launched a few days ago the campaign against the sale of animals until the shelters are emptied and "until this unaccountability and criminality against innocent animals stops".

"DO NOT BUY BECAUSE SIMPLY WITH THE PURCHASE YOU BECOME PARTICIPANTS AND GUILTY IN THE CYCLE OF MARTYRDOM, SHAMELESSNESS AND SUFFERING OF THESE ANIMALS".
