PAPHOS RAPID TEST CENTRES - Friday 22 April

           



On the basis of the decisions of the Council of Ministers, and with the aim of halting the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, in the areas where access requires the possession of a SafePass, people aged 6 years and over must meet one of the following conditions:

  1. Certificate of complete vaccination.
  2. Proof that a person has been ill with COVID-19 in the last 6 months.
  3. Certificate of negative rapid test with validity of 7 days for people 6-11 years old.
  4. Certificate of negative PCR or rapid test with validity of 72 hours for people 12-17 years old.
  5. Certificate of negative test, PCR with validity of 72 hours or rapid test with validity of 48 hours for people 18 years of age and older, and at least one dose of vaccine where required by Decree.

According to the decision of the Council of Ministers, only the following categories of citizens may be served in the mobile rapid test units of the Ministry of Health:

  • Minors up to 17 years of age. Children aged 12-17 years, who do not have the consent of their parents/legal guardians for vaccination, may perform a free rapid test through the ministry of health program.
  • People aged 18 years and over, who cannot be subjected to vaccination with documentation with a medical certificate, and after their request has been examined by the Pancyprian Medical Association and the Ministry of Health and a relevant approval has been given, which must be presented to the sampling unit. Pregnant women also fall into this category, provided that they have obtained approval from the pis ad hoc committee.
  • People vaccinated with the 1st dose of the vaccine, for the period required between the 1st and 2nd doses of the vaccine. For verification purposes, the Vaccination Card should be presented.
  • People who have completed their vaccination regimen and the 7-month period has elapsed without receiving a booster dose until January 15 when the measure will be reviewed. For verification purposes, the Vaccination Card should be presented.
  • Individuals who have received a booster dose of the vaccine but wish to be tested for health monitoring purposes or for other reasons. It is understood that the Vaccination Card must necessarily be presented.
  • Individuals who hold a certificate of recovery from COVID-19 within the last 180 days, but wish to be tested for the purpose of monitoring their health or for other reasons. It is understood that the recovery certificate must necessarily be presented.

In addition to the above proofs, it is reminded that all citizens must provide proof of identity (e.g. Identity Card, Driver's License, Passport, etc.) for identification purposes.

For Friday, April 22, 2022, the rapid test sampling units operating through the control program of the Ministry of Health only for the above groups of citizens, will be located at the following locations:

Kings Avenue Mall, Paphos - main entrance - 9am to 6pm

Chlorakas Church - 9am to 6pm

House of Hadjimitsi [behind Geroskipou Municipal Hall] - 9am to 6pm

Former residence of the prefect - 9am to 6pm

Cultural centre of Polis Chrysochous 10am to 4pm

Multipurpose Community Council Hall, Emba - 10am to 4pm
