DUMPING IN TALA

DUMPING ALONGSIDE RECYCLING BINS, GREEN BINS,  'WASTE GROUND' OR RAVINES

The above shows the mess discarded alongside one of the glass recycling bins in Kamares.  Unfortunately some people seem think that dumping any old rubbish anywhere is acceptable - it is not.   All it does is create extra work for other people.

Tala and Kamares residents have two garbage collections each week, and a recycling collection of plastic/cans and paper/cardboard once a week - all from their door.   Glass has to be placed in the receptacles around the village.  There are also glass recycling collection points in all the Papantiniou supermarket carparks.

In addition, there is the Green Centre at Chlorakas which takes virtually anything - FREE OF CHARGE!

If you see anyone discarding rubbish in Tala please try and take a photograph of the vehicle, and email this to Tala Council office - kstala@cytanet.com.cy with a note of where the photograph was taken and date and time.

And a reminder regarding the Green Centre at Chlorakas

Leave Tala, keeping on the main road as it goes around the outskirts of Emba.  When you come to the T junction, turn left and take the first right.   If you miss the first right, take the next right, or the one after.  The Green Centre is on the right.

It is open -
