Warnings to the public are addressed by the Organizing Committee for the Construction of the Church of St. Ephraim in Tala, on the occasion of the appearance of incidents of fraud by cunning people against believers.
The chairman of the committee, Raphael Demetriou, specifically informs the public that cunning people are wandering around the Pafos district and asking for money for the church of St. Ephraim under construction, near the Monastery of Agios Neophytos, without holding a block of evidence or any permission from the Organizing Committee and the competent state authorities.
"We call on the public to be careful about these actions," he stressed. "Contributions can be made through the Bank of Cyprus or only to the members of the Organizing Committee who hold the specific block of receipts with them. As President of the Organizing Committee for the Construction of the Church of St. Ephraim Talas, I have also notified the Pafos Police Department".
