CYPRUS ANIMAL PARTY CALLS FOR ANTIVENOM SERUMS FOR VETERINARIANS

 Filenews 7 April 2022

The Party for Animals of Cyprus, in a statement, expresses to the Minister of Health and the Pharmaceutical Companies its dissatisfaction with the current situation regarding the non-availability of antivenom serum to private veterinarians and veterinary clinics, which it considers criminal not only to animals but also to humans.

"A bite from a venomous snake can be fatal if the patient is not given the antivenom serum immediately, whether it is a human or an animal," it is noted.

It immediately calls on the Minister of Health to examine this issue and to find a solution for the immediate delivery of antivenom serums to all veterinarians and veterinary clinics "so as not to mourn victims", as he says.
