ANOTHER 19 DEATHS FROM COVID ANNOUNCED

In the context of the recording of data by the Health Monitoring Unit, the Ministry of Health has updated the database it maintains on patient deaths, having recorded and verified all the data declared in the previous months in the Epidemiological Surveillance Unit.

As part of this test, it appears that the total number of patients who have died with the final cause of COVID-19 as of March 7, 2022 is 971 and not 952, as stated in yesterday's daily announcement.

Specifically, the 19 deaths reported late relate to:

Man, aged 83, who died on 05/05/2021

Man, aged 64, who died on 17/05/2021

Man, aged 87, who died on 26/05/2021

Man, aged 90, who died on 31/05/2021

Woman, aged 71, who died on 07/06/2021

Woman, aged 84, who died on 13/06/2021

Man, aged 72, who died on 15/07/2021

Woman, aged 84, who died on 19/07/2021

Woman, aged 86, who died on 21/07/2021

Woman, aged 90, who died on 12/08/2021

Woman, aged 53, who died on 16/08/2021

Woman, aged 72, who died on 11/09/2021

Woman, aged 70, who died on 04/12/2021

Woman, aged 82, who died on 12/12/2021

Woman, aged 67, who died on 20/12/2021

Man, aged 87, who died on 20/12/2021

Woman, aged 72, who died on 24/12/2021

Woman, aged 97, who died on 31/12/2021

Therefore, from today's daily announcement, new deaths with an underlying cause of death, COVID-19, will be added to the total number of 971.

The Ministry of Health updates its databases at regular intervals, aiming at the correct and complete recording of epidemiological surveillance data. For transparency purposes, the Ministry of Health will inform about any new data it records.
