Two deaths and 2,853 new coronavirus cases were announced Sunday by the Ministry of Health. The positivity rate reached 3.62%. 203 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized in the hospitals of the CySEC.
The deaths involve women aged 87 and 76 who died on April 3. The total number of deaths with a final cause of COVID-19 tolerates 942.
Of the 203 patients hospitalized, 27 are in serious condition. In Intensive Care Units one person is hospitalized off the ventilator and 8 are intubated. 18 patients are hospitalized in the Increased Care Units.
The percentage of hospitalized patients without a history of vaccination is 55.67%
An additional 14 patients who have ceased to be infectious continue to be hospitalized intubated due to COVID in an Intensive Care Unit.
Diagnostic tests
Out of a total of 78,818 diagnostic tests performed, the molecular PCR tests were performed, there were 2,603 molecular tests, which resulted in 144 positive cases. The positivity rate was 5.53%.
76,215 rapid antigen tests were also performed, which resulted in 2,709 positive cases (positivity rate of 3.55%)
As part of the tracing, 959 rapid antigen tests were performed and 82 positive cases were identified (positivity rate of 8.55%)
On a private initiative, 1,399 molecular tests were performed and 83 positive cases were identified (positivity rate of 5.93%), as well as 27,735 rapid antigen tests, which identified 1,190 positive cases (positivity rate of 4.29%)
Through the health ministry's programs, 48,480 rapid antigen tests were performed and 1,519 positive cases were identified.
At the sampling points, 44,733 rapid detection tests were performed and 1,430 positive cases were identified (positivity rate of 3.2%)
In nursing homes, 68 rapid antigen tests were performed and 2 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 2.94%)
In closed structures, 2,720 rapid antigen tests were performed and 5 new cases were identified (positivity rate 0.18%).
