The Ministry of Health announces that today, April 1, 2022:
- 2 deaths reported
- They concern:
- Woman, aged 84, who died on April 1
- Woman, aged 96, who died on April 1
- Total number of deaths with a final cause of COVID-19: 937.
- 191 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized in the hospitals of the CySEC
- 23 in serious condition (ICU: 0 out of breath/7 intubated, PPE: 16)
- Percentage of hospitalized patients without a history of vaccination: 51.84%
- 13 patients who have ceased to be infectious continue to be hospitalized intubated due to COVID in an Intensive Care Unit.
Diagnostic tests:
- A total of 41,302 diagnostic tests were performed
- 2,491 new cases were identified (total cases 433,055).
- Positivity rate in total exams 6.03%
Total number of molecular tests (PCR):
- 1,837 molecular tests were performed
- There were 145 positive cases
- Positivity rate 7.89%
Total number of rapid antigen tests (Rapid Test):
- 39,465 rapid antigen tests were performed
- There were 2,346 positive cases
- Positivity rate 5.94%
Tracking:
- 919 rapid antigen tests were performed and 94 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 10.23%)
Private initiative:
- 822 molecular tests were performed, 100 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 12.17%)
- 19,246 rapid antigen tests were performed, 1,096 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 5.69%)
Through the programmes of the Ministry of Health, 20,219 rapid antigen tests were carried out. 1,250 positive cases were identified.
- Sampling points: 18,465 rapid detection tests detected 1,130 positive cases (positivity rate 6.12%)
Education
- Special Schools: 8 rapid antigen tests were carried out and no positive cases were detected (positivity rate 0%)
Other
- Nursing homes: 653 rapid antigen tests were performed, 22 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 3.37%)
- Closed structures: 174 rapid antigen tests were performed, 4 new cases were identified (positivity rate 2.3%).
