A further 26 people and a legal entity for their role in the Russian invasion of Ukraine added to the list of sanctions the Council of the European Union.
As noted in a statement, the list includes oligarchs and businessmen involved in the oil sector, banking and finance as well as members of the Putin government, military officials and "propagandists who contribute to the spread of anti-Ukrainian propaganda and promote a positive approach to Ukraine's invasion."
The list includes the managing director of the state-owned oil company Rosneft, Igor Sechin, the head of the state-controlled Ttransneft pipeline company, Nikolay Tokarev, and Gennady Timchenko, the head of the Volga Group, which specialises in investments in energy, transport and infrastructure.
In addition to the sanctions, the insurance company operating in the natural gas sector SOGAZ, for its involvement in the construction of infrastructure linking Russia to the illegally annexed Crimean peninsula, is also added to the sanctions.
The restrictive measures include an asset freeze, as well as a ban on the provision of funds to individuals and companies on the sanctions list, as well as a ban on entry or transit through the EU.
So far, restrictive measures have been imposed against 680 natural persons and 53 legal persons in connection with Russia's actions in Ukraine.

- Igor Ivanovich Sechin, head of the state oil company Rosneft and among the closest advisers to President Putin,
- Nikolay Petrovich Tokarev, head of the government-controlled Transneft oil transport company,
- Alisher Usmanov, oligarch close to President Putin who has interests in iron and steel companies, the media and the internet, among them the Kommersant newspaper,
- Petr Olegovich Aven, major shareholder of Alfa Group, which includes one of the largest banks in the country,
- Mikhail Maratovich Fridman, co-founder and major shareholder of Alfa Group,
- Sergei Pavlovich Roldugin, a businessman with close ties to Putin, is said to have laundered large sums of money according to journalistic investigations into the "Troika Laundromat",
- Dmitry Sergeyevich Pescov, spokesperson for President Putin,
- Dmitry Nikolaevich Chernyshenko, Deputy Prime Minister and member of the Board of Directors of the Russian Railways,
- Irek Envarovich Faizullin, Minister of Construction and Housing and member of the Board of Directors of Russian Railways,
- Vitaly Gennadyevich Savelyev, Minister of Transport and member of the Board of Directors of Russian Railways, former CEO of Aeroflot,
- Andrey Anatolyevich Turchak, secretary of the General Council of the United Russia Party and first deputy chairman of the Russian Council of the Federation,
- Tigran Edmondovich Keosayan, director and journalist who has been accused of having transferred Kremlin propaganda about the situation in Ukraine through state-funded projects to the NTV channel,
- Olga Vladimirovna Skabeyeva, journalist for the state channel Rossiya-1 and co-presenter of a political programme,
- Alexander Ponomarenko, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sheremetyevo International Airport,
- Modest Alexeyevich Kolerov, co-founder and editor-in-chief of regnum portal,
- Roman Georgievich Babayan, journalist and member of the local Duma of Moscow, presenter at NTV and editor-in-chief of Moscow Speaks radio,
- Yevgeniy Nikolaevich Prilepin, activist, journalist and co-president of the "Just Russia - Patriots - For the Truth" party,
- Anton Vyacheslavovich Krasovsky, journalist, presenter on the state network Russia Today,
- Arkady Viktorovich Mamontov, TV presenter on Rossiya-1,
- Sergei Mikhailovich Pinchuk, Vice Admiral and First Deputy Commander of the Black Sea Fleet,
- Alexey Yurevich Avdeev, deputy commander of russia's southern military administration,
- Rustam Usmanovich Muradov, lieutenant general and deputy commander-in-command of the southern military command,
- Andrey Ivanovich Sychevoy, Lieutenant General and Commander of the 8th Army of the Southern Military Command,
- Gennady Nikolayevich Timchenko, founder and shareholder of the Volga Group, which has investments in key sectors of the Russian economy,
- Alexey Alexandrovits Mordaschov, head of Severgroup, which owns shares in Bank Rossiya, while he owns shares in the National Media Group which controls a number of tv stations, and
- Peter Mikhaylovich Fradkov, head of the state-owned PJSC Promsvyazbank, which supports the country's defence sector and army.
