The top cultural event of Cyprus in the last fifteen years, the Opera of Pafos, is assumed to come back in September this year, after two consecutive years that did not take place due to the pandemic. As "F" reveals today, although there is still a time distance from the processes that need to begin for the preparation of the great cultural festival, however within the Pafos Municipal Hall the issue has already been unofficially put on the table and it is considered a sine qua non to restore the institution to the annual calendar of culture.
This, according to the same information, is now taken for granted by the municipal authority, both because of the obvious improvement of the epidemiological data, and because of the economic damage estimated to have suffered in Pafos due to the two-year absence of an event that had an international appeal and huge interest from abroad.
The competent municipal services conclude in these first contacts that there is now the time, but also the health security condition to start from the spring the huge preparatory work required to be ready for an event of such magnitude.
The opera as it is known takes place in the first three days of Friday, Saturday and Sunday of September each year in the square area of the Medieval Castle of Kato Pafos.
