In relation to the arrivals of Ukrainians in Cyprus, he said that he is aware that "the number of Ukrainians in the Republic of Cyprus is much greater" than the number of requests received by the Ministry. He explained that many may have secured accommodation in friendly homes, but stressed that this is not a reason for complacency, as this arrangement can be temporary.

"What we are watching is that we have consistently reached 100-180 Ukrainians every day in the last few days and as long as the conflicts and the war continue, this will continue to be the picture." He concluded that everyone, for his part, should do everything possible to contribute to efforts to end this war.
