Cold air mass is expected from tomorrow in the region of Cyprus with temperatures ranging significantly below the average climatic values. The height of the snow in Troodos Square is 46 centimetres. In detail, the forecast until Monday:
Today Friday, the weather will be partly cloudy and temporarily mostly cloudy and local rains are expected. On the highest peaks of Troodos, snow or sleet is expected. The temperature will rise to around 17 degrees in the interior and the coast and around 8 degrees in the higher mountains.
Tonight, the weather will be partly cloudy and temporarily mostly cloudy. The temperature will drop to around 3 degrees in the interior, around 8 degrees on the east coast, around 6 degrees on the rest of the coast and around minus 5 degrees on the higher mountains. Locally, in the mountains, frost will form.
On Saturday, the weather will initially be mostly clear, with locally elevated overcast but will gradually become partly cloudy and locally cloudy with isolated rains, mainly in the southern half of the island. In the mountains, local snowfall is expected. The temperature will drop, to be significantly below the average climatic values.
On Sunday, the weather will initially be mostly cloudy, with locally elevated overcast but will gradually become partly cloudy and temporarily mostly cloudy. The temperature will fall further slightly, mainly in the mountains and in the interior, to be significantly below the average climatic values.
On Monday, the weather will be partly cloudy and temporarily mostly cloudy. The temperature is not expected to change significantly.
