The Ministry of Health announces that today, March 18, 2022, there were no deaths due to Covid, while 3,859 new cases were identified.
Specifically:
- No deaths were announced.
- Total number of deaths with a final cause of COVID-19: 910.
- 114 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized in the hospitals of the CySEC
- 20 in serious condition (ICU: 0 out of snorkel/8 intubated, PPE: 12)
- Percentage of hospitalized patients without a history of vaccination: 58.78%
- 22 patients who have ceased to be infectious continue to be hospitalized intubated due to COVID in an Intensive Care Unit.
Diagnostic tests:
- A total of 99,636 diagnostic tests were performed
- 3,859 new cases were identified (total cases 370,311).
- Positivity rate in total exams 3.87%
Total number of molecular tests (PCR):
- 3,968 molecular tests were performed
- There were 345 positive cases
- Positivity rate 8.69%
- Total number of rapid antigen tests (Rapid Test):
- 95,668 rapid antigen tests were performed
- There were 3,514 positive cases
- Positivity rate 3.67%
Tracking:
- 382 molecular tests were performed and 35 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 9.16%)
- 706 rapid antigen tests were performed and 77 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 10.91%)
Private initiative:
- 1,512 molecular tests were performed, 241 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 15.94%)
- 40,030 rapid antigen tests were performed, 2,328 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 5.82%)
Through the programmes of the Ministry of Health, 55,638 rapid antigen tests were carried out. 1,186 positive cases were identified.
- Sampling points: 17,107 rapid detection tests identified 787 positive cases (positivity rate 4.6%)
Education
- Primary Education: 19,844 rapid antigen tests, 121 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 0.61%)
- Secondary Education: 11,676 rapid screening tests identified 103 positive cases (positivity rate 0.88%)
- Test-to-Stay: 3,977 rapid antigen tests were performed and 38 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 0.96%)
- Special Schools: 17 rapid antigen tests were performed and no positive cases were detected (positivity rate 0%)
Other
- Nursing homes: 894 rapid antigen tests were performed, 44 positive cases identified (positivity rate 4.92%)
- Closed structures: 233 rapid antigen tests were performed , 6 new cases were identified (positivity rate 2.58%).
- Government Agencies: 1,184 rapid antigen tests were performed and 10 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 0.84%)
