3,020 NEW CASES, TWO DEATHS [TOTAL 6 - 2/1 to 10/3]

Another six deaths were announced by the Ministry of Health announced by the Ministry of Health, while another 3,020 new positive cases of the virus were identified in the last 24 hours.

Specifically:

  • 6 deaths reported
  • They concern:
    • Woman, aged 88, who died on January 2
    • Woman, aged 29, who died on March 8
    • Woman, aged 84, who died on March 10
    • Woman, aged 83, who died on March 10
    • Woman, aged 93, who died on March 11
    • Woman, aged 82, who died on March 11
  • Total number of deaths with a final cause of COVID-19: 895.
  • 107 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized in the hospitals of the CySEC
  • 21 in serious condition (ICU: 0 out of snorkel/7 intubated, PPE: 14)
  • Percentage of hospitalized patients without a history of vaccination: 52.34%
  • 20 patients who have ceased to be infectious continue to be hospitalized intubated due to COVID in an Intensive Care Unit.

Diagnostic tests:

  • A total of 92,720 diagnostic tests were performed
  • 3,020 new cases were identified (total cases 347,876).
  • Positivity rate in total exams 3.26%

Total number of molecular tests (PCR):

  • 4,121 molecular tests were performed
  • There were 339 positive cases
  • Positivity rate 8.23%

Total number of rapid antigen tests (Rapid Test):

  • 88,599 rapid antigen tests were performed
  • There were 2,681 positive cases
  • Positivity rate 3.03%

 Tracking:

  • 459 molecular tests were performed and 55 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 11.98%)
  • 761 rapid antigen tests were performed and 83 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 10.91%)

Private initiative:

  • 1,656 molecular tests were performed, 231 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 13.95%)
  • 36,688 rapid antigen tests were performed, 1,780 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 4.85%)

Through the programmes of the Ministry of Health, 51,911 rapid antigen tests were carried out. 901 positive cases were identified.

  • Sampling points: 15,542 rapid detection tests identified 582 positive cases (positivity rate 3.74%)

Education

  • Primary Education: 19,720 rapid antigen tests, 119 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 0.6%)
  • Secondary Education: 10,802 rapid screening tests identified 81 positive cases (positivity rate 0.75%)
  • Test-to-Stay: 3,095 rapid antigen tests were performed and 29 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 0.94%)

Other

  • Houses of well-being: 843 rapid antigen tests were performed, 2 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 0.24%)
  • Closed structures: 145 rapid antigen tests were performed; new case was identified (positivity rate 0.69%).
  • Government Agencies: 1,003 rapid antigen tests were performed and positive cases were identified (positivity rate 0.4%)
