The Ministry of Health announces that today, March 2, 2022, two people have died due to coronavirus, while 2,109 are the new cases.
Specifically:
- 2 deaths reported
- They concern:
- Woman, aged 71, who died on March 1
- Woman, aged 85, who died on March 2
- Total number of deaths with a final cause of COVID-19: 859.
- 145 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized in the hospitals of the CySEC
- 28 in serious condition (ICU: 2 out of snorkel/11 intubated, PPE: 15)
- Percentage of hospitalized patients without a history of vaccination: 59.32%
- 19 patients who have ceased to be infectious continue to be hospitalized intubated due to COVID in an Intensive Care Unit.
Diagnostic tests:
- A total of 86,525 diagnostic tests were performed
- 2,109 new cases were identified (total cases 326,611).
- Positivity rate in total exams 2.44%
Total number of molecular tests (PCR):
- 3,369 molecular tests were performed
- There were 294 positive cases
- Positivity rate 8.73%
Total number of rapid antigen tests (Rapid Test):
- 83,156 rapid antigen tests were performed
- 1,815 positive cases occurred
- Positivity rate 2.18%
Tracking:
- 352 molecular tests were performed and 36 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 10.23%)
- 709 rapid antigen tests were performed and 61 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 8.60%)
Private initiative:
- 1,556 molecular tests were performed, 211 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 13.56%)
- 42,746 rapid antigen tests were performed, 1,147 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 2.68%)
Through the health ministry's programs, 40,410 rapid antigen tests were performed. 668 positive cases were identified.
- Sampling points: 20,448 rapid detection tests detected 488 positive cases (positivity rate 2.39%)
- Secondary Education: 11,692 rapid screening tests identified 66 positive cases (positivity rate 0.56%)
- Test-to-Stay: 4,010 rapid antigen tests were performed and 39 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 0.97%)
Other
- Nursing homes: 1,235 rapid antigen tests were performed, 5 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 0.40%)
- Closed structures: 1,995 rapid antigen tests were performed, 6 new cases were identified (positivity rate 0.30%).
- Government Agencies: 103 rapid antigen tests were performed and no positive cases were detected (positivity rate 0.00%)
- Industrial Areas: 218 rapid antigen tests were performed and 3 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 1.38%)
