In the context of the audits on the Audit of funeral and Registration Offices of Funeral Officers and Taxidermists Law, members of the ICF Headquarters carried out yesterday Friday, 18/2/2022 pancyprian checks based on court warrants, at funeral offices.
Specifically, inspections were carried out at three funeral homes in Nicosia district and at one funeral home in Larnaca, Famagusta and Paphos districts.
During the inspections at the above funeral homes, it was found that none of them has the required permit issued by the competent authority, namely the Ministry of Interior, ie permission to function as funeral homes. Also, the persons in charge of the above offices are not holders of a license from the Ministry of Interior for the exercise of the profession of a funeral home.
Various documents, authorizations, receipts, invoices and others were received from all the above offices for further examinations.
The investigation of the above cases was undertaken by the local Police Stations.
