Following the impending relaxations regarding the movement in the recreation centres, the representatives of the sector in Paphos will deal with a series of other problems and pending issues in the near future.
The head of SIAP, Angelos Onisiforou, in his statements to the "F", identified as such the issuance of drinks and music licences of restaurants every three years, the issue of covers, the sunshades for the outdoor areas of recreation centres and the music in the bars in the city centre.
Mr. Onisiforou announced the continuation of contacts and consultations with MPs and mayors of the Pafos district, with the Police and organized groups of Pafos for the better cooperation of all parties and the smooth operation of the sector.
"The issue of table seats outdoors should also be addressed, as well as the finding of staff from other countries for the restaurants", stressed Mr. Onisiforou. "Démarches have already begun in various countries abroad to enable businesses in the catering industry to bring staff for the summer season."
From the first contacts of the new Board of Directors of SIAP, stressed its head, a good prospect and supply from the municipal authorities for assistance to the Association emerges. The attitude is particularly positive, he pointed out, both by the Mayor of Pafos, Phaedon Phaedonos, and by the members of the Pafos City Council, for the promotion and resolution of the problems that have been raised.
Angelos Onisiforou pledged that he will be next to every owner in the centre of Pafos and called on the members of the Association to come back to SIKKAP to address the problems of the sector.
