A meeting with the President of the Republic of Cyprus was held today by the MP of Pafos of DISY, Charalambos Pazaros. With President Anastasiades, he stressed, they discussed Pafos issues, noting that projects worth more than €300 million were announced that were either completed or are under construction.
The main topic of the meeting, said the MP of DISY Pafos, was the road Kato Pafos-Coral Bay, for which he asked for the personal intervention of the President of the Republic to exert pressure where and where necessary, in order to expedite the procedures for upgrading this road.
"We also discussed extensively the problems that Pafos is facing with the infrastructure and operation of the two hospitals in the province, the need to build new school units and the need to improve the sports facilities," he said. "Regarding the works needed at the Paphian Stadium, the President of the Republic confirmed that the tenders will be announced shortly and it is estimated that in early 2023 its replacement will be completed".
Charalambos Pazaros concluded that it was agreed with President Anastasiades to meet again to discuss the developments in the problems raised to him today.
