CYPRUS' POSITION IN THE MOST DANGEROUS COUNTRIES FOR DRIVING BY CAR

In 25th place is Cyprus in the most dangerous countries to drive, according to a report by the World Health Organization.

Specifically, Cyprus with an average of 5.9 road deaths per 100,000 inhabitants is quite low in the tables of dangerous countries. According to the report, a little above, in the 22nd place is Greece with 6.5 deaths.

Every year 1.35 million people lose their lives as a result of a car accident, while another 20 to 50 million suffer from serious or minor injuries.

In first place is Liberia with an average of 35.9 road deaths per 100,000 inhabitants each year. Immediately after Liberia follows Congo and the Central African Republic with 33.7 and 33.6 road deaths per 100,000 inhabitants respectively, while the first non-African country on the list of the most dangerous is Thailand in 5th place with 32.7 deaths per 100,000 inhabitants.
