Filenews 19 January 2022
With the aim of ensuring the protection of public health and halting the spread of the virus, the Deputy Ministry informs citizens that the validity of the European Covid Digital Certificates (EUDCC) relating to vaccination and disease - for safe pass purposes - will be temporarily revoked in people who have tested positive for Covid-19, for the period during which they remain under mandatory restriction or self-isolation.
It is noted that these persons will not be able to issue new EUDCC certificates before their release. Regarding the safepass checks through the CovScan Cyprus application, in the above case, the test result will be Red: Invalid.
A prerequisite for the smooth operation of the CovScan Cyprus application and the assurance of reliable indications / results of the audit is the updated National Control Rules and the updated Keys (Trusted Public Keys). It is recalled that national rules should be updated at least once a day.
The last date and time of the update is indicated at the end of the Settings of the application, under the Reload – Reload. If no date is listed (or if the date is not current) check the app's internet connectivity and try again.
